Rivendell Kayin

Kayin is a cinnamon. Her name means "celebrated child" in Yoruba. Like Neo she came here as a gift from Ann Storey in an attempt to reduce the propensity of the tabi line rats to being overweight, and associated mammary lumps.

Kayin is a shyer rat that Neo. She doesn't embrace new situations with quite the same enthusiasm, but bonded quickly with me and is rapidly growing in confidence. She settled very easily into her cage group, with the same weeble-like quality as Neo - the attentions of the older rats just didn't phase them at all. Of the young pair I think she's the more dominant - but the adult girls keep them both in line. She's a rat I find very easy to love... she buries herself so deeply into my neck and will stay there for hours just being fussed and bruxing away.
